for Scouting! | | Scout Earn ALL Merit Badges  Fairfield Scout Earns 139 Merit Badges
The Golden Empire Council congratulates Skyler Parthemore, a 17-year-old Eagle Scout from Fairfield, California, who achieved the unattainable on August 7th, 2017 by earning every Boy Scout merit badge. He is the second scout this year from our Council to complete this achievement and one of only 334 Boy Scouts (out of 100 million registered since 1910) in U.S. history to earn every merit badge available from the Boy Scouts of America. Skyler started his journey in March of 2011. His original plan was to earn Eagle Scout and surpass his father's total of 51 merit badges. Read more

| Silver Beaver Silver Beaver Nominations Do y  ou know a Scouter who dedicates a lot of time and talent to giving Scouts the program they deserve? Give that person the recognition they deserve by submitting a Silver Beaver Nomination. Silver Beaver is the highest award a Council can give an individual to recognize their involvement in Scouting. Recipients must be currently registered volunteers and be involved in providing District and Council program for our youth members. Recipients receive their award at the Annual Council Dinner held each February. Plans are underway to make a special video program to honor the recipients. To provide sufficient time to make this a very special event we must receive all nominations by September 30th. Nominations should be sent to the attention of Michelle Pisias at the Council office. | Swing a Club for Scouting On Monday, October 23rd, a memorable and fun golf experience awaits at the Morgan Creek Country Club, a premier private golf course. | Duty to God Religious Emblems Programs  Available to Members of the Boy Scouts of America A Scout is reverent. He is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties and respects the convictions of others in matters of custom and religion. - What is Wood Badge? It is an adult leadership training put into the context of Scouting. It will strengthen the Scouting programs for the youth you serve. The leadership skills you learn will support youth that attend NYLT and you will have the experience of a lifetime with passionate Scouters around the council like yourself.

Check out the latest training calendar (updated frequently). Boy Scouts of America is pleased to bring the learning closer to home with the launch of ScoutingU with eLearning content. So far, 19 modules, each ranging from 4-12 minutes in length, were designed to be viewed on a computer or tablet any time of day–from anywhere.
