| Tour Plan Update  In March 2017, the National Council, BSA announced that Tour and Activity Plans ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED to conduct a Scouting related activity. A cross-functional team has completed an evaluation of the BSA's Tour and Activity Plan, resulting in a recommendation to terminate the plan effective April 1, 2017. We recognize that those who were using the tool may wish to know why so an FAQ sheet has been developed. Click here to read the FAQs.

| Wild Wild West Summer Camp Cub Scouts - Join us at Camp Lassen this summer for a Wild Wild West action-packed adventure! Activities will include BB Guns, archery, wrist rockets, camp craft, climbing, boating, swimming, and more. Special Webelos activities will be offered. Plus, Bears and Webelos can earn their Whittling Chip. Let's build memories at the campfires, during camp wide events, and stargazing fun. Be sure to secure your spot and register today! Then, get your Pack ready for camp by developing Wild Wild West theme-oriented skits, songs, flags, and attire.
| Boy Scout Summer Camp Boy Scout Summer Camp at Camp Lassen this summer will be SPECTACULAR! Activities and Merit Badges will include Guns (Rifle and Shotgun), archery (Stationary & LaPorte), Cooking, Horsemanship, Metalworking, Welding, Scoutcraft, COPE, climbing, boating, nature focused merit badges, swimming, and more. Let's build memories at the campfires and skits, during camp wide events, and building bonds while keeping watch over the eternal flame. Boy Scout Summer Camp at Camp Winton is closed. - During an exciting 6-day outdoor workshop
First course (two 3-day weekends) on April 21-23, and May 5-7, at our Yuba property is sold out and a waiting list has formed. The second course (six consecutive days), occurs Monday through Saturday, July 31-August 5 at Camp Lassen. 
- What is Wood Badge? It is an adult leadership training put into the conext of Scouting. It will strengthen the Scouting programs for the youth you serve. The leadership skills you learn will support youth that attend NYLT and you will have the experience of a lifetime with passionate Scouters around the council like yourself.
- When? Sept 21-23, and Oct 5-7, Sunday friendly (two weekends, 6 days in all)

Are you a NEW leader? Need help getting organized for your meetings? Nearly every registered scouting position has some form of training to help you understand your role. Check out the latest training calendar (updated frequently). Boy Scouts of America is pleased to bring the learning closer to home with the launch of ScoutingU with eLearning content. So far, 19 modules, each ranging from 4-12 minutes in length, were designed to be viewed on a computer or tablet any time of day–from anywhere.
