Hello Discovery District,
The Memorial Hill Project is the installation of a monument on the grounds of the Loomis Veterans Memorial Hall to remember and honor the fallen who have sacrificed their lives serving in the Armed Forces. The monument itself is made up of a concrete simulated redwood tree stump which symbolizes alife cut short, that is encircled with inlaid service seals, capped by a black granite book of remembrance highlighted with an embedded gold lighted glass service star. This unique monument reflects the laid back home town classic Americana quality of life the community of Loomis is known for.
The scouts of Troop 12 of Loomis, CA are sponsoring this event to raise the final $12,000 needed to complete the project. Please join us for a spaghetti dinner at the Loomis Veterans' Memorial Hall on January 21st, 2017

We're just two days away and would love to make a few more ticket sales. The boys also have quite a few items for silent auction including a 32in Flat Screen TV.
The boys have worked hard on this event and are committed to finishing this project this year. The level of commitment is high because this started as an Eagle project of a boy who aged out.
Thanks much and please let me know if you have any questions via email or on the Facebook event page.
Yours in scouting,
Ryan M. Lucia
