Parents,
Class A uniform is required. The boys working in the kitchen, doing the serving and working the dinning area will be in Class A uniform all the time.
The forecast for Saturday is clear but chilly, 27 degrees in the morning warming to a high of 47 degrees.
The boys grilling pancakes, who will be outside behind the Event Center, will need some warm clothing. A sweatshirt, coat, heavy hoodie (maybe layered) should be worn over their Class A. This, of course, is due to the weather. Additionally, you may want to consider choosing an outside garment that will get dirty with splashed pancake batter, grease from the grill, etc.
Since the boys will be assigned to one of three work areas (grilling, the kitchen or serving) when they arrive, they should all come prepared with the outside garment(s). And some boys, who are staying for more than one three-hour shift, may want to change jobs during the day. If a Scout is signed up for a single shift, they will work in one area the entire time.
Lastly, for those working the first three-hour shift or planning to work the entire event, the start time will be 6 a.m. The Troop signup has a 5 a.m. start time. We pick up the pancake batter at 6:30 a.m., so the original 5 a.m. start time is too early.
Thanks,
Tony
