Help Needed for Breakfast With Santa

Parents,

The Troop's annual commitment to Rocklin's Breakfast with Santa, December 17th, is quickly approaching. Patrick Leffel, Eric Johansen and myself will take care of managing all the food preparation, cooking, serving and clean-up (of the dining area, Event Center kitchen and of the grills used to cook the pancakes).

Help is needed acquiring the food and supermarket gift card donations (for the purchase of additional food) the Troop uses for the breakfast. Pancake House, Starbucks, etc. make donations which need to be coordinated and scheduled for pick up before the breakfast. Usually, we have stored perishable items overnight (Friday) at Walgreens on Sunset and Park. Ice is also needed on Saturday. It's always been donated by Taco Bell on Rocklin Road, near Granite Drive.

The Troop has used the same donating parties in past years. So there's a list of whom to contact, and they expect they will be solicited. Please respond as soon as possible, if you can help. This part of the operation needs to start now!

Finally, this event requires a lot of Scout participation. The Scouts do the prep, cooking, serving and cleaning. They can also have a hand in picking up donations beforehand. Please make sure your boy will be able to contribute their time on December 17th. We start at 5:30 a.m. and the work runs until approximately 1:30 p.m.
