Saturday/May 14th, the troop is assisting the Lions Club with an event for special kids in Lincoln. At present, there are 156 kids registered for the event as well as 177 siblings who will be attending. Those are huge numbers. So we are going to need a lot of boys and some adults to do our job.
The troop's job is to direct the parking of vehicles and run a booth where kids will construct a wood project using a hammer and nails. This is a great opportunity for the boys to do community service for other kids who are not as lucky or as blessed as them.
Please volunteer by placing your name(s) on the SignUp Genius site - http://signup.rocklintroop29.com/. You do not need to work the entire event (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.). A few hours would be very helpful. Car pooling may help in getting more Scouts to the event.
