The Golden Empire "Catch the Spirit" Scout Expo will be held at Beale Air Force Base, Marysville, April 17-19th.
All reservations must be made on SignUp Genius by March 6th (http://signup.rocklintroop29.com/). Due to security concerns, all drivers will have to provide a photocopy of their drivers license to the troop event coordinator (Mr. Scott) before March 6th. Please register on SignUp Genius with the name on your license. For adults (over 18 years of age), we will also need your e-mail address, phone number, date of birth and citizenship (foreign nationals require additional information). Finally, your t-shirt size and a Troop Permission Slip (accessible from the SignUp Genius site) are needed.
The Expo promises to be a fun and constructive event. It will feature rock walls, zip lines, shooting sports, a Merit Badge Midway, BMX bikes and more. A Saturday evening show and tours of the flight-line will be additional highlights.
Cost is $53.00 for youth or adult ($35 is Council registration fee; $18 for troop food and gear fees) plus an undetermined transportation charge. Scouts and parents will need to bring a sack lunch for Friday evening. The scouts will be preparing their own meals Saturday and Sunday morning.
