This Thursday's Troop Meeting will have two parts. One part will be finishing snowshoes. The other part will be making Survival Bracelets. If your Scout wants to make a survival bracelet, he will need to bring 15 feet of Parachute Cord or 550 Cord. The cordage can be found at Home Depot, Lowes or Sportsman's Warehouse. Packages of 100 feet of 550 cord sell for $7.99 at Sportsman's Warehouse.
We will also be having a good number of Webelos IIs coming to visit as part of their making a decision on which Troop to join. The Scouts decided that the Phoenix Patrol was going to bring enough Drinks for everyone. However, the Scouts in the other Patrols need to bring twelve (12) cookies per Scout. So everyone, including the guests and their parents can have a post-meeting snack.
To help things go smoothly on Thursday, please ensure your Scout brings his cordage and his dozen cookies (unless he is in the Phoenix Patrol, in which case he needs to bring drinks instead of cookies). If the Scouts have questions, have them contact their Patrol Leaders.
See you Thursday.
Sincerely,
Todd F. Gedde
