As you know, this weekend is the Webelos II Campout. Do you remember what Webelos stands for? It stands for WE BE LOyal Scouts. When I think of Loyal Scouts, I think of Boy Scouts. Scouts who have stuck with scouting, have met numerous requirements, have earned Merit Badges and have advanced through various ranks. Some have even become Eagle Scouts. I would like to show the Loyal Cub Scouts from Packs 29 and 102 what loyalty looks like in Troop 29.
Right now we have fifteen Scouts representing Troop 29 to the twenty-seven Webelos from Packs 29 and 102. Yes, it is forecasted to rain this weekend. That is not going to stop us from having fun. Friday night, before it starts raining, we are going to build a tarp city in case it does rain on Saturday. We are going to have a good time rain or shine. And we have a cool project planned for all of the Scouts (Boy and Cub) attending. I would like to have at least one Boy Scout in attendance for every Webelos in attendance. So if you haven’t signed up yet, you can still attend. Either you or your parent needs to contact me to let me know you will be attending. Let’s get you on the list of Scouts who can show the Webelos that Boy Scouts have the most loyalty to scouting.
Please e-mail or call me if you plan on attending. We need to make sure all the Scouts have enough to eat.
P.S. Have you been camping with us and taken a lantern home and forgot to return it? We are currently missing two lanterns. Check your garage, trunk, back seat of your parents’ car, even check your pockets. We are going to need lots of light in Tarp City and we need the two missing lanterns to help.
Sincerely,
Todd F. Gedde
