White Cane Day

What: White Can Day (Hand out White Cane with Lions members)
When: Saturday September 27th or October 4th.

Details: Scouts will stand with the Lion members and hand out White Canes. Scouts will earn service hours for working a 2 hour shift. Increasing Awareness of the "Symbol of Independence" Blind and visually impaired people in many countries use the familiar white cane with a red band at the bottom. Lions help increase awareness of this "symbol of independence" – and the laws governing its use – during international white cane events.
