Scouting Clays
The Scouting Clays Classic is right around the corner!  Held on Saturday, September 17th at Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve in Ione.

Adopt-an-Adirondack
Last year, the Golden Empire Council invested $230,000 dollars of capital budget for improvements at Camp Lassen! The Camp Lassen Alumni is looking for volunteer labor to rebuild 65 Adirondacks. Nine are almost complete. Click here to learn how your unit can help.

Training Calendar
Come one, come all to a Scout Leader Training near you! Have you heard the saying, "Every Scout deserves a Trained Leader?" It's so true! So, make a point of attending a training for your position soon. Use the Council Training Calendar to find a class near you. Please check back often to the Training Activities Webpage to register! NYLT
Young men and ladies (Scouts 13+/ Crew 14+) are invited to hone their Leadership skills through an exciting skills 6-day workshop. The training is held over two 3-day weekends or a week-long event. We will offer two opportunities in 2017. Read More

Wood Badge
Wood Badge - Fall 2016 - Camp Lassen on September 23-25 and October 7-9

Wilderness First Aid
Heading to the Backcountry? Camping more than 30 minutes from a hospital? If you said yes to either of these questions, then at least one person in your unit should be Wilderness First Aid Trained! The GEC High Adventure Team organizes several trainings each year. 2017 schedule is now available. 

Den Leader Rally
On the morning of Saturday, August 13, Golden Empire Council train 52 Scouters during the Den Leader Rally. Leaders learn basic to be a Den leader and sing songs. They walk away with information about recruiting, STEM Nova, on line resources, and Lion Scouts - just to mention a few items. Thanks you to everyone that help make it possible!
