My name is Dennis Weiss and I am the Golden Empire Council's Shooting Sports Task Force Chair. The Sports Task Force needs your help to get your records updated. We need Shooting Sports Instructors, Range Safety Officers and Coaches to go to NRA webpage and register. Please follow the instructions below.

ALL BSA NRA instructors/RSO's/Coaches please go to the NRA Instructors site as soon as you read this and fill in the information below…You will need your BSA Membership #... If you don't know your BSA # you can obtain it by emailing or calling Judi Velasquez judi.velasquez@scouting.org 916-333-5431 at the GEC office.
This process is very important as we need to let NRA know we are BSA instructors, so we can be contacted for future trainings and help the Black Powder certification transition go smoothly. Our NRA/BSA representative wants to make sure every BSA Black Powder instructor is saved on the NRA system as instructors (some of you are only trained in one Black Powder discipline) when the new requirements become mandatory that all three disciplines for Black Powder instructors will be required. (By letting NRA know you are a BSA Black Powder instructor they will keep you as instructor no matter if you have one or more Black Power disciplines) There may be a chance you could be deleted if you don't let them know the information below. Once deleted you can't be undeleted.
