2015 Scout Expo Patrols and Menu

Troop 29 Families, Leaders and Scouts –

 

Hopefully this will be the last or one of the last e-mails you will receive about 2015 Scout Expo.  This e-mail contains information on the four Patrols of Scouts attending the event, the menu for the weekend and a couple additional items of note.

 

 

*** Important Notice ***  If you and/or your son is attending 2015 Scout Expo, we will be spending the Troop meeting this Thursday getting ready to go. Scouts and Parents/Guardians need to be in attendance at the meeting.   For Parents/Guardians – we will have blank copies of all of the forms needed for the event (this includes the Medical Form).  ALL forms must be completed and available for submission on Friday when we arrive at Beale Air Force Base.  If forms are missing at the time of departure, you will not be allowed to attend, as you may not be allowed on the base.

Here is the menu for the weekend based upon $15.00 per person (either $105 (7 member Patrols) or $120 (8 member Patrol):
Cost Breakdown (Breakfast - $3/person  (x2 (Saturday & Sunday)=$6/person), Lunch - $4/person, Dinner - $5/person = Total $15/person)

Friday Dinner:
- Bring Your Own Sack Dinner

Saturday Breakfast:

- Pancakes w/ butter, syrup

- Orange Juice

- Fruit - bananas

- Hot Chocolate

Saturday Lunch:

- Sandwiches - ham and turkey, white bread, mayo

- Chips - individual bags

- Fruit - apples

Saturday Dinner:

- Cheeseburgers w/cheddar cheese, ketchup, mayo

- Carrots or Salad Items

- Stonemade Brownies (Provided by the Troop – no purchase necessary)

Sunday Breakfast:

- Donuts - individual packet, powdered and chocolate

- Hot Chocolate

 

Sunday Lunch:
- At home with family

 

Grubmasters – (Responsible for purchasing food, staying within the menu and budget, packing the food for transportation and storage until it is needed so it stays fresh, preparing a Duty Roster for the weekend and for submitting a receipt for reimbursement for the food purchase in a timely manner).

 

 

Items of Note (for those attending and their Parents/Guardians):

- It is going to be HOT (90 degrees and no shade) so plan accordingly (clothing (including hats) and sunscreen) – If you have any shade devices (EZ-Ups, large umbrellas, etc.) and you would be willing to loan to the Troop for use in our camp space, please bring them.

- Don't Forget to bring a cup for Hot Chocolate, a water bottle to stay hydrated with and your Mess Kit.

- Review the menu, if there are any allergy issues, please let me know as soon as possible.

- Don't forget your water bottle to carry with you and a day pack to put things in for ease of transportation.
